Attorney Stefania Monda, with over fifteen years of professional experience, founded Tech Legal Partners in 2020 after completing her legal education in Italy at Bocconi University (Ph.D. with distinction) and Federico II University (J.D., summa cum laude), and earning her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Columbia University in New York.

Stefania specializes in assisting Italian companies with their entry and expansion in the U.S. market. Her distinctive strength lies in her dual background and expertise: she is a licensed attorney in the United States with prior experience as a lawyer in Italy. This combination enables her to understand the specific needs of Italian clients, simplify communication and procedures through her deep familiarity with both legal cultures, and provide strategic guidance at every stage of U.S. expansion.

She provides legal counsel exclusively within the American legal system, but with the sensitivity and insight that come from her Italian legal education. She assists Italian companies throughout their journey in the U.S. — including company formation, international commercial contracts, U.S. employment law, venture capital investments, and extraordinary corporate transactions such as joint ventures and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Her primary mission is to break down the complexities that separate leading Italian companies from the U.S. market. Tech Legal Partners was founded with the vision of transforming overseas expansion from an intimidating challenge into a tangible strategic opportunity — equipping Italian companies with the legal tools and cultural understanding needed to thrive in the world’s largest economy, while eliminating regulatory barriers and cross-cultural misunderstandings that often hinder international growth.

Before founding Tech Legal Partners, Stefania built her expertise at leading law firms in Milan and New York, where she handled M&A and corporate finance transactions totaling more than one billion dollars. Since establishing the firm, she has focused specifically on the international growth of Italian companies, assisting over 100 clients in entering the U.S. market and coordinating M&A and venture capital deals exceeding $100 million in value.

She was recognized by Milano Finanza as Best in M&A Small Cap (2023) and named a New York Metro Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2024 — an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in the New York metropolitan area.

Stefania’s academic passion is reflected in her former teaching activity in Private Law and Contracts at Federico II University. She has also spoken at prestigious conferences and events, including the New York M&A and Private Equity Forum (2018), and has authored articles for industry publications such as Amministrazione e Finanza.

Her interest in innovation and emerging technologies has led her to pursue advanced professional training, earning certificates in Computer Science for Lawyers (Harvard University), Fintech Law and Policy (Duke University), and Blockchain Transactions (INSEAD Business School).

Stefania is an active member of Women in Tech, an international organization committed to closing the gender gap in the technology sector. She also supports non-profit initiatives such as I3 NYC – Italian Innovators Initiative, which promotes Italian innovation globally, and IMark Impact, which fosters social impact collaborations between Italy and the United States.
